Gram’s Jams began as a small, home‑based dream shared by a mother‑daughter duo but the real heart of our story goes back much further. Our name honors the woman who inspired it all: our mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother, lovingly known as Gram. Her recipes, her spirit, and her unforgettable flavors are the foundation of everything we do.

Gram grew up on a farm in Michigan, where she learned the art of making preserves as a child. What started as a simple farm chore quickly became her lifelong passion. Even after moving across the country to San Diego, she continued crafting jams for family and friends, filling kitchens with the aroma of simmering fruit and the joy of sharing something homemade.
In 2018, Gram’s strawberry jam won a blue ribbon at the San Diego County Fair a moment that changed everything. Her grandson tasted that victory and said what everyone else had been thinking: “You should be selling this.” And so, the seed was planted.

When Gram later moved to Maryland to be closer to her daughter, the two decided to bring her award‑winning flavors to the community. They set up a small stand at the Bowie Farmers Market, not knowing just how quickly people would fall in love with their creations. The business blossomed, fueled by customers who kept coming back for “just one more jar.” Today, Gram’s Jams has grown into a full‑time venture but our roots remain the same. Every jar is still made with the same care, the same tradition, and the same love that Gram poured into her very first batch. Our jams aren’t just spread.
